Our client, an industry-leader in aluminum manufacturing, has an immediate need for an experienced CNC
Maintenance Technician
, to join our winning team in Peoria.
Our candidate of choice will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment in an industrial setting. You will ensure the smooth operation of our production processes, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on CNC machinery, including but not limited to mills, lathes, routers, and grinders.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems and recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure CNC machines meet operational requirements and quality standards.
- Install, align, dismantle, and move CNC equipment as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, documenting repairs, parts used, and equipment status.
- Train junior technicians and machine operators on proper CNC maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, with a focus on CNC machinery.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine operations, controls (Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, etc.), and programming principles.
- Experience with diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Experience working with PLCs
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and protocols related to industrial machinery.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
