We're looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily operations within our Wire Mill facility. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring machinery and equipment run safely, smoothly, and efficiently.
What You'll Do- Lead and direct hourly maintenance craft personnel on daily assignments and project work
- Prioritize and manage evolving work schedules and tasks in a fast-paced, 24/7 facility
- Ensure timely and safe completion of mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Vendors, and Union personnel to resolve issues and meet plant performance goals
- Maintain high standards for housekeeping, scrap control, and process efficiency
- Experience: 2-5 years in industrial mechanical maintenance with leadership/supervisory background
- Proven supervisory experience in a unionized environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, procedures, and safety rules
- Must pass physical, drug screening, and background check
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical training/certifications a plus
- Strong knowledge of heavy industrial mechanical & electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints
- Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office & maintenance software systems
- Assertive, goal-oriented, and safety-conscious
- Capable of multitasking and maintaining a sense of urgency
- Strong organizational and communication skills
