Midwest Communications, Inc. in Peoria, IL is seeking a proven Director of Sales to lead revenue growth across one of the most dominant audio and digital media portfolios in Illinois. This senior leadership opportunity is for a strategic, people‑first sales executive who thrives on building teams, growing accounts, and delivering results.
Responsibilities- Lead, inspire, and develop a high‑performing sales organization that consistently exceeds revenue goals
- Recruit, coach, and retain top‑tier sales talent while building a strong bench for the future
- Create and execute a clear, measurable sales strategy aligned with market opportunities and client needs
- Drive accountability through goal‑setting, regular team meetings, and weekly one‑on‑one coaching
- Champion CRM adoption and data‑driven selling to improve pipeline health and forecasting accuracy
- Oversee key sales processes including account management, pricing, and order approval
- Build and expand senior‑level client relationships; participate in high‑profile presentations and negotiations
- Identify and create innovative, integrated marketing opportunities that generate new and incremental revenue
- Own forecasting and planning on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Serve as a thought partner to leadership by contributing ideas that strengthen revenue, culture, and client success
- Be a high‑achieving sales leader with a track record of growing revenue and developing successful teams
- Have strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold others accountable
- Have excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
- Have a strategic mindset with hands‑on execution capability
- Have a valid Illinois Driver License and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record Check
