EcC Training & Quality Assurance Supervisor

oversee the emergency communications center (ecc) training and quality assurance programs by supervising ect personnel, ensuring high-quality emergency call handling, and maintaining compliance with agency policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs, conducting quality assurance reviews, providing feedback and coaching to staff, and supporting operational and administrative functions of the ecc.

This position functions under the direction of the ecc director.

knowledge of all dispatch center equipment and operations, fcc rules and regulations, all computer applications including hardware and software related to performance of the essential functions of the job, administrative principles, and practices, including goal setting and implementation; and administration of staff and activities, either directly or through subordinate supervision is preferred. Skill in using tact, discretion, initiative, and independent judgment, organizing work, setting priorities, meeting critical deadlines, and following up on assignments with a minimum of direction, communicating clearly and effectively both orally and in writing, selecting and motivating staff and providing for their training and professional development, and preparing clear and concise reports, correspondence and other written materials.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, write reports, correspondence, procedure manuals, and to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

associate’s degree, diploma, or equivalent from a college, technical, business, vocational, or correspondence school, and three years up to and including five years progressively responsible related experience required. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, considered.
