* Summary:

** The Housekeeper is primarily responsible for performing general cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned.
** Compensation for the Housekeeper is $18.63 an hour.
** Illinois Central College has three campuses (East Peoria, Peoria, Pekin) and housekeepers may rotate between the campuses.

* Essential Functions:

** Vacuum carpets and sweep, dust and mop floors.
* Spot clean floor coverings, walls, doors and window glass. Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
* Empty and reline wastebaskets.
* Clean drinking fountains.
* Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.
* Pick up trash and refuse and deposit in appropriate containers.
* Assist during emergency situations or hazardous conditions.
* Assist custodians as assigned.
* Assist set-ups as assigned.
* Perform related duties as required.##

* Minimum Qualifications:

*** The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
** High school diploma or equivalent.
* Valid driver's license or equivalent with an acceptable driving record.
* Manual dexterity.
* Physical ability to lift and carry safely a minimum of 50 pounds.
* Must be able to work at all locations as assigned.

* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Completion of high school diploma or equivalent with six months or more of direct experience.
