Expected pay for this position is $26.99 - $31.75/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a hourly position.

POSITION SUMMARY: Following established procedures and all building, fire, and safety codes, performs routine tasks in the construction, maintenance and repair of wood structures, fixtures and furnishings according to blueprints, sketches or specific instructions. Performs finish and rough carpentry duties and assists in other maintenance duties as assigned.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 4 years commercial or institutional work experience to perform a variety of carpentry, masonry and general maintenance duties.
- Requires a valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of carpentry trade and mechanical drawing, and the ability to read blueprints as normally acquired through completion of a certified carpentry apprenticeship program beyond high school.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, standards and regulations for healthcare facilities
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Analytical skills necessary in order to estimate building costs and quantities of materials and supplies needed.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions and to give readily understood information in both verbal and written forms.
- Ability to read and write is essential.
