Overview
AMT is seeking a Patient Account Billing Specialist to provide daily billing and collections support for transportation charges in a fast-paced healthcare transportation environment. You will deliver top-notch customer service to patients with questions about a bill and to various agencies.
What You'll Do- Review patient care reports thoroughly
- Verify patient information
- Prepare patient billing by allocating charges to appropriate sources; assign appropriate billing codes
- Accurately choose correct profit center for each ticket billed
- Utilize available resources to help provide correct insurance and/or patient information
- Input tickets in a careful and timely manner ensuring correct information on all screens
- Input a minimum of 30 tickets on billing days
- Make and receive patient phone calls
- Screen patients for financial assistance
- Review and work assigned workflow schedules in Zoll Rescue Net
- Accurately and completely document all conversations with patients, third party payers, and others in ticket notes
- Receptionist duties as required
