The Center 4 Health Research (C4HR) is a newly established strategic initiative of the University of Illinois-College of Medicine, Peoria (UICOMP) with the mission to improve the overall health and promote equity in our local community. Our goal is to drive positive change through pioneering research, innovative programs, cutting-edge analytic tools and fruitful collaborations with healthcare systems, academic institutions, and community organizations.
The Center is currently searching for an Associate Director for its Data Analytics and Informatics Division at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The rank offered will be based on institutional guidelines, national recognition, institutional service, and teaching elements with sustained evidence of productivity. Summary
We re searching for a passionate and experienced leader to join our Data Analytics and Informatics Division at the Center 4 Health Research (C4HR). In this pivotal role, you ll play a key role in advancing health equity through groundbreaking research and innovative data solutions, ensuring our initiatives are inclusive and representative of our diverse community.
Duties & Responsibilities- Providing strategic leadership and direction to the Data Analytics and Informatics Division.
- Overseeing the development and implementation of data analytics and informatics projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Leading a multidisciplinary team of researchers, analysts, and informaticians to drive innovation and excellence in health research.
- Establishing databases including leveraging of EMR data from healthcare systems for research purposes
- Providing data analytics and informatics support to UICOMP healthcare professionals through research grants
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
- MD with MPH and/or PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biostatistics, health informatics, computer science, epidemiology).
- Proven track record of leadership in data analytics, informatics, or related fields, preferably in a healthcare or research setting.
- Strong technical skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, and programming (e.g., SAS, R, SQL).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Track record of extramural funding such as NIH, PCORI, AHRQ or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare systems, electronic health records, and healthcare data standards is highly desirable.

The budgeted salary range for the position is $120,000 to $175,000 per year. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
