Expected pay for this position is $44.77 - $52.67/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Claims Manager is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and managing professional and general liability claims involving OSF under the supervision of Director Claims/Litigation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

High School Diploma/ GED

Experience:

• Experience in legal department/insurance company specializing in medical liability defense litigation.
• Previous experience working in a fast‑paced high‑volume environment.

Other Skills/ Knowledge:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
• Demonstrated proficiency in medical liability claims management, adjusting and evaluation of damages.
• Strong attention to details.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple cases simultaneously. Excellent time management, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

3 years of experience in medical liability claims management, adjusting and evaluation.

Licensure/ Certification:
Paralegal certification;
Certified Professional Claims Adjuster (CPCU)
