Pay range for this position is $40.42 - $58.01/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is a Salaried position.
OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY:
Coordinates and participates in the clinical evaluation and management of mechanical assist device patients and pre and post-transplant patients on a 24 hour basis. Acts as the central point of contact and resource for patients and families. Provides expert education to community and care givers regarding the technical aspect of mechanical assist devices, organ procurement, transplant, and patient care.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
Bachelor of Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing - Experience:
3 years of nursing experience with inpatient cardiac, critical care, or cardiothoracic surgery - Licenses/Certifications:
RN-Registered Nurse
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years of nursing experience in the care of critical patient Ventricular Assist Device expereince, Cardiac Transplant knowledge
- Licensure/
Certifications:
Certification as a Clinical Transplant Coordinator;
Licensure in the State of Illinois as a Registered Nurse - Other skills/knowledge:
Strong clinical assessment sills and analytical ability;
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and basic computer skills
