Expected pay for this position is $46.05 - $61.02/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY: The Manager CHOI Specialty and Transport Services provides strategic and operational leadership for the Pediatric and Neonatal Transport Program as well as specialty nursing teams. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating clinical operations, education, quality outcomes, and staff development to ensure the safe and efficient transport of critically ill neonates and children and the effective deployment of Specialty RNs throughout the hospital.
The Manager ensures high-quality, patient-centered care that aligns with OSF Health Care’s mission, strategic priorities, and fiscal objectives. This role collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, referring facilities, and hospital leadership to promote seamless care across the continuum, operational readiness, and excellence in patient experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
Experience:
- 3–5 years of progressively responsible pediatric critical care, neonatal ICU, or pediatric emergency medicine experience, including leadership or charge experience.
Licensure/ Certification:
- RN - Registered Nurse, American Heart Association - BLS for Health Care Providers ACLS (as applicable) PALS (as applicable) NRP (as applicable)
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills; proficiency in quality improvement, data tracking, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

- Master’s degree in nursing
Experience:
- Previous leadership or management experience in pediatric transport or hospital operations. Knowledge of telehealth integration and pediatric transport technology.
