This position offers a $2.25/hour 3rd shift differential. This position offers a $1.75/hour weekend differential.

OverviewEligible for a $2,000 Sign On Bonus with a 1-year work commitment. UNIT OVERVIEW: Welcome to Cardio Thoracic! We are a large 69 bed unit that is heart and lung focused. Our unit is fast paced and we have great team work and a large leadership team for support. On cardio thoracic we provide care to a wide variety of diagnosis that include but are not limited to chest pain, heart rate/rhythm issues, COPD, heart failure, and post cardiac and thoracic surgeries.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed.
Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
- CPR American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED Experience
- Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
- Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
