Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour
. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
- 3rd Shift: $2.25/hour
- Weekend: $1.75/hour
- $600 Sign On Bonus with a 1-year work commitment.
- Must be of legal age to sign a contract, which is at least 18 years old, to be eligible for a sign on bonus. Candidates under 18 years old may still be considered for the position but are not eligible for the sign‑on bonus.
Welcome to our Stepdown Care Unit, also known as Intermediate Care, where we provide comprehensive and specialized care for a diverse range of medical conditions. Within Stepdown Care, we attend to patients facing a spectrum of health challenges, including but not limited to strokes, seizures, pre‑ and post‑operative neuro & surgical cases, traumas, respiratory diseases/distress, alcohol/drug withdrawals, COPD, CHF, end‑of‑life care, GI bleeds, palliative care, vented trach patients, renal diseases, and more.

The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed.
Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.
Required Qualifications:
- CNA-Certified Nursing Assistant
- CPR American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS
Preferred Qualifications:
- li>High School Diploma or GED
- Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
- Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho‑social needs of patients
