We are seeking a highly technical Power Electronics Engineer to support EV architecture development and advanced modelling initiatives for off-highway electrification platforms.
- Model and analyze power electronic converters and motor drives for EV applications
- Evaluate and compare powertrain architectures for off-highway electric vehicles
- Recommend optimal converter topologies, modulation schemes, and component selections
- Develop electrical and loss-thermal models for:
- Isolated & Non-Isolated DC-DC Converters
- Perform deep analytical (physics-based, control theory, circuit derivation) and simulation-based studies
- Conduct quantitative performance comparisons (efficiency, power density, thermal performance)
- Participate in internal & customer technical discussions
- Stay current with latest research in power electronics and electrification
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in at least one:
- Medium/High Voltage Power Electronics (DC-DC, Inverters, Chargers)
- Motor Drives & Controls
- Energy Storage Systems (Battery / Fuel Cell)
- Strong fundamentals in:
- Power Electronics Theory
- Motor Control
- Magnetics
- Continuous & Discrete Control Theory
- Proficiency in Simulink
- Working knowledge of MATLAB or Python
- Practical understanding of high-power converter constraints
- Strong communication & teamwork skills
- 3+ years industry experience
- Experience with:
- Strong physics & thermal management background
- Strong presentation & organizational skills
