Support Engineer – Electrical Components

• Provide engineering support for two product families:
• High Voltage Components, including electrical connectors, contractors, relays, circuit protection devices, and EV charging plugs and inlets
• High Speed Data Components, including high-speed data connectors and cables supporting next-generation Caterpillar machines
• Support design, development, and validation activities for electrical and electronic components
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, validation, manufacturing, and suppliers
• Assist with component selection, technical evaluations, and issue resolution
• Support testing activities, analyze results, and document findings
• Participate in problem-solving efforts related to performance, quality, or integration issues
• Maintain engineering documentation and support change management activities
• Ensure work aligns with Caterpillar engineering standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics
• 0 to 3 years of relevant engineering experience
• Entry-level candidates and early-career engineers are encouraged to apply

• Basic understanding of electrical components and systems
• Familiarity with high-voltage electrical systems and/or high-speed data components preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Willingness to learn Caterpillar products, systems, and engineering processes
• Attention to detail and a proactive, support-oriented mindset
