• Evaluate and design the workflow process within the steelmaking department.
• Develop and assist on installation and follow up on new and improved process improvements within the entire steelmaking process.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process optimization.
• Diagnose failures, determine solutions, and make suggestions for improvement.
• Create reports with cost and time estimates for each project.
• Ensure process stability and consistency by developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, operations, and quality to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The role is set in a very heavy manufacturing environment and office. You will have the opportunity to work across the entire plant and multiple mills. The position offers a great opportunity to be part of a SWOT team that will tackle cost centers with the most opportunity for improvement and help bring an American steel mill back online to produce for years to come.

This is a Contract position based out of Peoria, IL.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
