YOU MUST BE WORK-STUDY ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION.

The America Reads Tutoring Program is currently accepting applications. (Successful tutors may continue on through the Spring and subsequent years, if eligible)

This program combines community service, rewarding work experience and a paycheck.

America Reads tutors will spend approximately 2-10 hours per week tutoring children in small groups or in one-on-one sessions. The goal of this program is to ensure every child can read well and independently by the end of elementary school.

Bradley University offers this program Monday through Thursday in the afternoons/evenings (all tutoring should be complete by 7:30pm).

Successful candidates:

• should have good communication skills
• are patient and comfortable working one-on-one with children in grades K-8
• have schedules which allow for tutoring at least 2 shifts per week (the more availability you have the better!)
• MAY have prior experience working with children and/or tutoring (preferred but NOT required)
• MUST be a full time Bradley student
