The K–6 Music Teacher plays a vital role in fostering students' musical growth while supporting their spiritual, academic, and social development. • Bachelor's degree in music education or a related field
• Illinois teaching license/certificate (or ability to obtain)
• Willingness to share the Catholic faith and a love of Christ with students and the school community
• Ability to engage, inspire, and differentiate instruction to support diverse learners in grades K–6
• Promotes a learning environment that is faith-filled, safe, and conducive to musical growth and student learning
• Plans and delivers engaging music instruction aligned with diocesan philosophy and school goals
• Implements a developmentally appropriate K–6 music curriculum
• Integrates music into liturgies, prayer services, and school celebrations as appropriate
• Directs and evaluates student learning in accordance with diocesan goals and policies
• Employs a variety of instructional strategies, activities, and materials to meet the needs, interests, and abilities of students
• Creates a classroom environment that fosters creativity, participation, and respect
• Collaborates with classroom teachers, special area teachers, and administrators
• Communicates and partners effectively with parents and families
• Performs other duties reasonably related to the position as assigned by the Building Administrator or Superintendent

• Salary Range: $34,000–$65,000
