Overview
JOB SPECIFICS:
- The OSF healthcare system seeks an Acute Care Surgeon for its Flagship Tertiary Care hospital in Peoria. Surgical Subspecialists include excellent neuro and orthopedic surgeons, cardiovascular surgeons, advanced foregut, and transplant surgeons, amongst others.
- Physicians must be board-certified or eligible in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. ATLS certification is required, and ASSET certification is preferred.
- Successful Academic appointment at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Peoria is required. Teaching medical students, surgical residents, surgical fellows, and other learners is an essential part of the position.
- The only Level 1 center with a large catchment area with severe injury and with an acute care surgery volume and complexity in the top decile allows excellent clinical skills development with experienced colleagues. The collegial culture allows rapid learning and professional growth.

- Full time, clinical base salary pay range for this position: $524,000-$642,000
- Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
- Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
- Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies). Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
- Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
- Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
