Breast Imaging Director

Overview

Breast Imaging Director - Private Practice in Peoria, Illinois. Central Illinois Radiological Associates (CIRA) is recruiting an onsite board-certified strategic leader to serve as our Breast Imaging Director in Peoria and as Director for a large comprehensive breast center. This role collaborates with a team of board-certified breast cancer providers and offers opportunities to lead, practice quality medicine, and contribute to a high-volume, patient-focused setting.

• Lead and manage the breast imaging program as the Breast Imaging Director, with administrative time allocated for leadership duties.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including breast surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and other specialties to deliver individualized patient care.
• Provide services Monday to Friday with participation in a rotational schedule for a Saturday morning diagnostic clinic; no general radiology call responsibilities.
• Utilize the enterprise worklist solution to coordinate additional breast imaging services across the CIRA footprint; participate in optional and customizable diagnostic imaging duties based on experience and interests.
• Work with state-of-the-art modalities, including full-field digital mammography with 3D tomosynthesis, dedicated breast ultrasound, on-site breast MRI, and breast interventional procedures.
• Possibility for faculty appointment involving supervision and teaching of medical students, residents, fellows, and a breast imaging fellowship for the University of Illinois College of Medicine-Peoria (UICOM-P).
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital partners, clinicians, employees, and patients.

• Board-certified radiologist with leadership and strategic-management capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to cultivate relationships with hospital partners, clinicians, staff, and patients.
• Experience with breast imaging modalities listed (mammography with 3D tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and interventional procedures) and willingness to engage in administrative and teaching duties.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, collaborative environment and participate in an on-site breast center setting affiliated with OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
