Facility in Peoria IL is seeking experienced surgical podiatrists (DPM) for a long-term, hospital-based locum tenens assignment. This is a procedure-heavy inpatient role focused on complex foot and ankle surgery, trauma, and amputations, with strong APP and resident support. Level I Schedule and Coverage Monday Friday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Inpatient rounding included Weekend call: 1 weekend every 6 weeks No night call (overnights covered by APPs and residents) Estimated shifts per month: approximately 20 Practice Environment and Support Dedicated APP and resident support APPs and residents manage routine overnight call Established inpatient surgical teams with full OR access Physicians do not work solo Call response time expectation: 30 minutes Case Mix and Scope of Practice Foot and ankle trauma Minor and major amputations Diabetic foot complications Inpatient surgical consultations Full-spectrum foot and ankle surgery This role is not appropriate for providers with primarily outpatient or conservative practices.
