Position OverviewThe firm is seeking a Project Architect / Project Manager with a strong technical background and experience delivering complex projects, ideally within federal or government sectors. This individual will play a key role in leading project teams, coordinating consultants, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
This is a remote role
, but candidates should be based in the Chicago area to support collaboration with the broader team when needed.
- Lead and coordinate architectural projects from design development through construction administration.
- Manage project schedules, deliverables, and coordination with internal teams and external consultants.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
- Prepare and review construction documents while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and federal or government standards.
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to resolve design and technical challenges.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior architectural staff.
- Support project planning, budgeting, and overall project execution.
- 7+ years of professional architectural experience
. - Licensed Architect or actively working toward licensure.
- Demonstrated experience working on federal, government, or other highly regulated projects
. - Strong experience producing and coordinating construction documentation.
- Proven ability to lead project teams and manage multiple project phases.
- Strong communication and coordination skills working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency with industry-standard architectural design and documentation software.
- Experience with government agencies, federal facilities, or secure environments.
- Familiarity with complex regulatory requirements and design standards associated with public sector work.
- Experience managing consultants and coordinating across multiple disciplines.
