How You'll Contribute
As a Construction Superintendent, you will help us reach our strategic growth goals by supervising all phases of the construction project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and supervise all construction activities for assigned projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specification and schedules.
- Coordinate with project owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors to develop project plans, schedules, budgets and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Manage subcontractor performance, including monitoring work progress, quality and safety compliance, and addressing any issues or concerns that arise.
- Conduct regular site inspections and walkthroughs to monitor construction progress, identify potential issues or risks and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Enforce project safety policies and procedures, conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety requirements.
- Manage project schedules and timelines, including coordinating work sequences, tracking progress, and updating schedules as needed.
- Resolve construction related issues and conflicts that arise during the project and collaborate with project stakeholders to develop and implement solutions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports and as-built drawings and ensure that all project records are properly organized and maintained.
- Coordinate with project owners, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to address project needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams and foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture on-site.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent relevant experience. 5+ years of experience in construction project management or related roles.
- Thorough knowledge of construction principles, practices, and techniques, including building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software / Procore and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze situations, identify solutions, and implement action plans.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks and managing project documentation.
- Large project experience preferred. ($20 M +)
- Ground up construction experience required.
- Diverse project experience important.
- Travel may be required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License in good standing.
