Key Account Manager – Employee Benefits (Large Group)

We are partnering with one of the largest employee benefits brokers in the U.S. (Top 15 nationally) to identify a Senior Account Manager – Employee Benefits to join their Key Accounts (Large Group) team in the Chicagoland area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EB professional who thrives managing complex, self-funded large group accounts (250+ lives) and wants to be part of a collaborative, nationally respected organization with strong local leadership.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and service a $1.2M+ large group book of business
- Lead renewals, onboard new clients, and support RFP processes
- Analyze and compare carrier proposals (self-funded experience required)
- Partner with Advisors to execute client service strategy
- Support open enrollment meetings and client presentations
- Serve as a trusted day-to-day contact for benefit, claims, billing, and compliance questions
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5+ years of large group (250+) Employee Benefits experience
- Strong knowledge of self-funded plans
- Expertise in medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, HRA, and ancillary benefits
- Experience with benefits compliance and carrier negotiations
- Highly organized with strong Excel and presentation skills
