We are looking for a detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Peoria, Illinois. This role involves performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day office operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in basic office software.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls efficiently and professionally.
- Sort, process, and distribute incoming mail and packages to the appropriate recipients.
- Scan and digitize documents to maintain organized electronic records.
- Greet and assist visitors and walk-ins with a welcoming and helpful attitude.
- Ensure the office space is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, and Excel, for routine tasks.
- Manage email correspondence and handle clerical duties as needed.
- Multi-task effectively to support various administrative functions.
- Collaborate with team members to address day-to-day office needs.
The salary range for this position is $18/hr. to $18.15/hr benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Hired contract/temporary professionals are also eligible to enroll in our company 401(k) plan. Visit for more information.
Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar administrative or office assistant role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with scanning and document digitization processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working onsite and interacting with visitors.
