Overview

Heyl, Royster, Voelker & Allen, P.C. is a large, fast-paced law firm seeking a motivated, organized, and reliable individual for a full-time Mail Clerk position in our Peoria office.

A Day in the Life as a Mail Clerk
  • As a Mail Clerk, you will spend most of your time handling electronic and paper mail in an office environment—sorting, organizing, and sending. You will independently and correctly scan, save, and email documents. You will efficiently and thoroughly manage digital document filing, including encrypted documents and email correspondence. You will excel at processing reports in both electronic and paper form, providing excellent customer service to Firm employees.
  • You will assist in mail pick up and delivery in the Peoria area. You must have a valid driver s license and reliable transportation.
  • You will fill in as needed for the Firm Receptionist. As the Firm s first impression in person or on the phone, you will provide excellent customer service to all colleagues and clients.
Qualifications to be a Mail Clerk
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior office or law firm experience a bonus
  • Exceptional attention to detail required
  • Must have strong computer skills working with Microsoft Office
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Must have a valid driver s license and reliable transportation

Despite a fast pace and short time frames, you excel and are efficient and thorough with multiple large volume tasks. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to help improve processes and documentation to minimize errors.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is $15.50 to $23.00 an hour. The salary offered will take into account several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications/credentials, talent availability and specialization, as well as business needs. The range may be modified in the future.
