Tell me moreThe City of Peoria Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a Facilities Technician I to perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks involving City buildings, facilities, pools, and equipment. This position supports City parks, community pools, and the Peoria Sports Complex—home of the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners Spring Training facilities.
Key responsibilitiesAssisting with events, inspecting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and completing semi-skilled work in areas such as plumbing maintenance and repair, painting, carpentry, doors, seating, and pool systems throughout park facilities.

The ideal candidate for this position will- Have experience with plumbing maintenance and repair
- Have experience with pool maintenance and repair
- Possess a CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification
- Have experience with door hardware installation and repair
- Have experience with interior maintenance, including drywall repair and replacement, painting, and light replacement

QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education- High school graduation or equivalency
- 9-12 months previous experience required in the same or similar previous positions.
- Work requires heavy physical exertion and effort equivalent to lifting between 25 and 50 pounds
- Valid Arizona Class “D” Drivers license upon hire.
- Limited Police Department Background Check.
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification within 12 months of hire
