Overview

Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team.

$15.25 to $18.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.98 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more. The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, PLUS employees earn commission based on productivity. The successful Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate's pay will be based on factors such as work location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non-management open/close procedures.
  • Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains the display of merchandise.
  • Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Completes assigned training successfully.
  • Other related duties, as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to stand for extended periods; duties may include standing, walking, stooping, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting in accordance with laws.
  • Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified (where applicable).
  • May be asked to assist a customer exterior to the building or retrieve products stored in exterior storage.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
  • Cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Should be able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on the gross profit of personal performance. Applicants receive more details during the interview process.
