Job DescriptionProvide exceptional customer service to help people live healthier lives by treating our customers and employees fairly and ethically, providing a safe and inclusive environment, being a responsible community member, and delivering the right products and services at the right time with fair pricing. Provide direct patient intervention by offering health and wellness services consistent with state and federal laws. Responsibilities- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
- Enforce all food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations, guidelines, procedures, and programs according to company, local, state, and federal health code regulations; identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
- Understand and perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
- Follow the company’s guidelines on computerized inventory management, control, and ordering of all medications, devices, supplements, and supplies.
- Maintain departmental standards by keeping work stations and waiting areas clean and organized.
- Count, measure, and prepare specified products using company best practices.
- Complete billing procedures accurately to ensure best value for customers and the company.
- Answer phone calls, triage inquiries, and provide appropriate information.
- Adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, cash shortages, and shop shrink.
- Operate the cash register in compliance with cashier policies, including handling electronic fund transactions such as credit/debit cards, EBT, gift cards, cash, and checks.
- Deliver a stellar customer experience while accurately completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing steps.
- Assist the pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
- Follow HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding confidential information.
- Support company health and wellness initiatives.
- Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries.
- Work cooperatively in a fast‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflict reasonably, nonconfrontationally, and cooperatively.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
- Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
- Must perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years old.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Meets minimum state requirements to perform the position’s functions.
- Comparable past experience.
- Experience as a pharmacy clerk.
- Familiarity with EPRN.
