SALES LEAD – Part Time
ABOUT THE ARC: The Salvation Army (TSA) Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program to assist men & women in their journey to complete our rehabilitation program. We are grateful for the contributions our valued employees make toward the maintenance and effectiveness of the programs. The organization is dependent on the diligence and devotion of its employees.

Together we can continue to serve and impact our local community, through the commitment to “Do The Most Good” at our Sun City Thrift Store, which supports the Adult Rehabilitation Program. This is an opportunity to promote a positive shopping/donor experience, enhance customer service, problem-solving and teamwork skills, while contributing to the success of our Program and its participants.
Position Objectives
- To provide customers with the best selection, exceptional service and well-organized stores so we can offer spiritual, social, and rehabilitation programs to those in need.
- Accountable for meeting store sales and income budget expectations while managing expenses to maximize profitability.
- Create a positive and mentoring environment for Beneficiaries (ARC rehabilitation program participants) through collaboration and partnership with program staff.
- Implement positive and effective Work Therapy Assignments (WTA) and keep Beneficiaries on the right track and focus where they need to improve.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED – required.
- Must have a minimum of one-year previous retail experience and Supervisory experience preferred.
- Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
- Effective communication skills with management, store employees, customers and donors.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, clothing carts, merchandise carts, and fixtures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Perform various repetitive motion tasks.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Partner with the Store Manager in daily operations including opening/closing, POS, inventory, merchandising, and donations.
- Manage store operations in absence of the Store/Assistant Manager, including scheduling and coaching staff.
- Monitor performance indicators to drive sales and profitability.
- Ensure high customer and donor satisfaction through excellent service.
- Support Back Room Processing to meet daily goals.
- Supervise and report on program Beneficiaries involved in Work Therapy.
- Secure store assets and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Complete assigned tasks as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Works well as a team member, inspires others, and is supportive of the cause.
- High School or equivalent required.
- Preferred: 1 year experience in customer service, cashiering, and retail.
