Our Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the community, resident apartments, and common areas in a safe, attractive, and well-maintained condition. This role responds to service requests in a timely and courteous manner and works to ensure residents feel comfortable in their homes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to excellent service. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Maintenance Director in identifying needed repairs or replacements in apartments, resident rooms, common areas, landscaping, parking areas, and other community spaces
  • Complete work orders from residents and staff in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with preventative maintenance to refurbish or replace deteriorating items and help avoid costly repairs
  • Ensure building systems and equipment are maintained in accordance with safety standards and applicable regulations
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner
  • Complete special projects as directed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience of at least 1 year in general maintenance and/or construction
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in the State
  • Must be knowledgeable of maintenance practices and procedures in plumbing, electrical, hvac, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
