AMS is seeking a passionate and data-driven
** Middle School Science Teacher
** to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that fosters scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

AMS teachers are collaborative professionals who believe all scholars can achieve at high levels through structured instruction, strong classroom culture, and consistent use of data to inform practice.
** Key Responsibilities
**** Instruction & Student Achievement
*** Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned science instruction aligned to AMS curriculum frameworks.
* Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students performing above and below grade level.
* Use formative and summative assessment data to guide instructional planning and interventions.
* Foster inquiry-based learning and hands-on scientific exploration.
** Classroom Culture & Student Support
*** Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and high-expectations classroom environment.
* Implement PBIS and preventative intervention strategies.
* Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
** Collaboration & Professional Growth
*** Participate in weekly professional development and professional learning communities.
* Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to strengthen instructional practices.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the campus.
** Family Engagement
*** Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.
* Lead parent-teacher conferences and maintain strong home-school partnerships.
** Minimum Qualifications
** Candidates must meet
** one
* * of the following requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in
** Science
* * or a related field    
** OR
* ** Valid Arizona teaching certification in a relevant subject area Additionally, candidates must:
* Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
* Pass required background checks and obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
* Demonstrate commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities
* Show strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for data-driven instruction
* Exhibit collaboration, professionalism, and initiative in a team-based environment

* Salary Range: $48,331 – $54,571 (DOE)* $2,000 Sign-On Bonus
