Assistant Management Accountant

Overview

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been re-engaged by one of our longstanding clients, a highly successful and rapidly expanding services business with several group entities operating across a broad range of sectors. They currently seek to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team, a permanent, full-time position based at the company’s headquarters near Penzance.

• Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Assist with all month end procedures to tight deadlines
• Ensure efficient accounts payable and receivable controls
• Bank/balance sheet reconciliations
• Create invoices and resolve discrepancies and queries
• Monitor the aged debtor
• Support the Finance Manager with various ad-hoc duties and tasks

This role represents an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious candidate who wants to focus on management reporting, so a strong desire and aptitude to develop your career is essential. Candidates will ideally be part/fully AAT qualified, though applicants with relevant vocational experience who are keen to progress will be given equal consideration.

• Good IT skills including the ability to pick up digital accounting platforms (Sage/Xero) is essential
• A strong team player with good communication and collaboration skills; the role requires liaising with many internal and external stakeholders
