Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Marine
Pipefitter to support ship construction, alteration, and repair projects.
We are looking for a Pipefitter who can grow into a supervisor position. This position involves fabricating, installing, and maintaining complex piping systems on metal ships while following blueprints, work orders, and supervisor instructions.
- Develop, lay out, fit, bolt, assemble, and install piping systems for ship construction and repair
- Identify and locate specific components, pipe stock, pumps, and materials required to complete daily tasks efficiently.
- Fabricate and repair complete piping systems, including:
- Foundations, Hawse Pipes, Ladders, Masts, Racks, Railings, Sea Chests, Stanchions, Stowages, Tanks, Trunks, Yardarms, Pipe Spools
- Associated pumps, valves, and components
- Repair or remove damaged piping systems and prepare surfaces for welding and burning
- Lay out and drill holes according to specifications
- Operate hand and power tools, including rolls, punches, shears, drills, saws, and burners
- Arrange staging, crane service, ventilation, lighting, air, electricity, and water support as needed
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2+ years of pipe fitting experience in a Shipyard
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Knowledge of metal fabrication, cutting, and welding preparation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must adhere to all safety standards and procedures
- All Workers Are Required to Wear Safety Equipment: including Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs, Safety-Toed Shoes, and, occasionally, Respirators and Fall Protection.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.– Sponsorship cannot be provided now or in the future.
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the day
- Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 45 lbs.
- Transport tools and equipment across multiple work areas
- Work in varying physical environments, including confined spaces and elevated platforms
