Retail Sales Associate – Cox Communications

Ever stepped into a retail store and had a phenomenal customer service experience? How would you like to be responsible for creating those experiences with the potential of earning $48,628 per year? Cox Communications is looking for a Retail Sales Associate who creates those experiences; someone who connects easily with others and can drive sales while making customers feel special.
This role requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays, and you will report to the Store Manager and support the Assistant Store Manager and other team specialists.
What You’ll Do- Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer suggestions based on customers’ wants and needs
- Meet or exceed targets for customer experience, sales, and retention
- Assist with opening and closing the store environment
- Handle cash properly
- Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos
- Support fellow sales agents when needed
- Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings by participating in regular training classes
- May be required to work in other locations within the same geographical area
Hourly pay ranges from $14.90 to $22.31 per hour, depending on location and experience. The role also includes a variable total compensation of up to $48,628 annually, with top 10% earners reaching an average of $63,655. Base hourly rate is $16.38 per hour plus monthly target commissions of $1,279, with a ramp period of up to two months.

Minimum Requirements
- HS diploma/GED or up to 2 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for a consultative sales approach
- Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced team environment
- Physical ability to be mobile within the store for long periods
- Computer literacy and eagerness to learn communication products and services
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds to help manage inventory
Preferred Qualifications
- College coursework focused on sales, business, or management
- One year of experience in sales, retail, or service industry
- Experience selling wireless/mobile products
- Fluency in Spanish, written and spoken
