OverviewWe are looking for a Butler Pantry Clerk who is passionate about food and beverage preparation. Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, accepting payments, and preparing and serving food and drinks within the Butler’s Pantry. You will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and dining area, update displays, and continuously expand your knowledge of food and beverage quality, preparation, and presentation.
Responsibilities- Always approaches all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Promotes a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
- Engages and creates a positive experience for guests.
- Preparing foods, such as baked goods, brewing coffee and tea, making milkshakes and smoothies.
- Takes food and beverage orders from guests.
- Prepares and serves beverages following recipes and procedures for crafting specialty beverages.
- Delivers food and drinks to each guest, refills water glasses, asks customers if they wish refills on purchased drinks, and ensures that customers are satisfied with their order and the service provided.
- Maintains inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting, and scheduling repairs.
- Maintains the Butler’s Pantry area and ensures all products, drinks, and cups are readily accessible and available for use.
- Collects payments from guests, processes credit card transactions, and accurately manages cash transactions using the restaurant POS system.
- Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions.
- Maintains a friendly attitude and attends to guests in an efficient and prompt manner.
- Provides guests with information about facilities, attractions, and activities in or outside the property.
- Projects a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by management.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of food & beverage customer service experience required.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or scheduled form.
- Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of reservation and POS systems.
- Ability to work with computers and good knowledge of operating software preferred.
- Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented.
- Must be a team player.
