Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular​/PRN

Position: Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular/PRN, Days
The Registered Nurse provides care and education for patients based on their illness, symptoms, and courses of treatment. The position manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. The position also directs and guides the patient care activities of ancillary personnel and other patient care personnel, while maintaining standards of professional practice.

The Registered Nurse maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase their level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease and new procedures as the evolve.

What you will do

* Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs to provide quality care to assigned patients.

* Develops, discusses, and communicates a realistic plan of care for each patient, in collaboration with each patient/significant other in order to address all identified needs.

* Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions, and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient.

* Maintains up to date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team, to ensure quality care.

* Performs TEE and Cardioversion procedures with the use of anesthesia, recovers, and discharges the patient.

* Performs Stress testing on both IP and OP, administers cardiac medications as required.

* Performs Tilt Table testing.

* Maintains current knowledge/certification/licensure. Pursues professional growth and development.

* Must be available for on call assignments, as needed.

Minimum Education

* Technical Diploma/Certificate Nursing Required or

* Associates Degree Nursing Required

* Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred

Minimum Work Experience

* 1-3 years experience in Cardiovascular or Cardiopulmonary Required

Licenses and Certifications

* Registered Nurse Licensed State of Florida or eligible compact state Upon Hire Required

* BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association Upon Hire Required

* ACLS Provider (ACLS) American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
