A respected Pensacola-based law firm is seeking a Workers' Compensation Attorney with 1+ year of experience to join its growing practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking to gain meaningful courtroom and hearing exposure while developing strong litigation skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do- Handle all phases of workers' compensation litigation including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials (hearing experience a strong plus).
- Assist with case strategy, legal research, and client communication.
- Represent employers and insurance carriers in workplace injury claims, compensability disputes, and benefit defense matters.
- Work closely with partners, claims professionals, and support staff to drive efficient case resolution.
- 1+ year of litigation experience (workers' compensation or insurance defense experience preferred).
- Active Florida Bar member in good standing.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a deadline-driven environment.
- Motivated, detail-oriented attorney eager to develop litigation and courtroom skills.
- In-office mentorship and hands-on training with real responsibility.
- Consistent workflow with valuable hearing and trial exposure.
- Reasonable billable expectations (approximately 160 hours/month).
