IT Consultant, Web Developer
The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a SharePoint Developer to provide research support administration services for our government customer in Pensacola, Florida. This position is onsite.
Description of Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain education and training website portals to support learning management support services.
- Accurately establish project scope and specifications for all special project development.
- Employ an established process that is fully documented for all web services developed.
- Assist customers in identifying and documenting functional requirements.
- Identify and manage evaluation of threats to system functionality, network integration, and internet security.
- Develop web-based applications architecture as required.
- Develop web-based interfaces and services.
- Perform testing and quality control activities to validate web services and tools.
- Deploy web services in command, provide user training, and perform administrative tasks utilizing web development tools.
- Design, implement, and maintain various web-based applications and databases.
- Design, implement, maintain, and customize SharePoint Online Enterprise Services.
- Leverage existing technology and implement state‑of‑the‑art development when applicable.
- Design architecture for web-based applications.
- Obtain and document functional requirements from stakeholders.
- Provide effective communication and customer service skills.
- Apply program and project management principles.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Hold a bachelor’s degree in an IT related field with five (5) years of experience in web services development or seven (7) years of general IT experience.
RequiredSkills and Experience:
- Knowledge and expertise in utilizing Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft Planner, and Microsoft Power BI developmental tools.
- Knowledge and skill supporting multiple file formats used in delivery of web content.
- Knowledge and expertise implementing internet security principles and protocols such as secure socket layers and encryption, internet design principles and methods.
- Knowledge and expertise maintaining integrity of web servers with DoD, DHA, and Navy IT security methods.
- Knowledge and expertise managing Active Server Pages, standard graphics, mark‑up languages, programming, streaming video and scripting language and tools, JAVA, FLASH, etc.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active SECRET clearance. An active Secret clearance is preferred.
