Overview- Sign‑on Bonus*
The CSU is an acute‑care inpatient psychiatric facility for persons with mental health or co‑occurring disorders from Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. It operates 24‑hour continuous operations and serves voluntary clients and individuals admitted under the Baker Act or Marchman Act. The unit serves individuals 18 years of age and older. Services are designed and implemented to support recovery, health, or well‑being, to reduce symptoms, and to build resilience and restore, or improve functioning.

The Behavior Health Technician position assists counselors, therapy, and nursing staff by providing clinical support to adults and children who receive substance abuse, mental health services, or co‑occurring disorders in residential, inpatient, day/evening, outpatient, and community‑based programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establish a positive helping relationship with people receiving services.
- Assist with activities of daily living and accessing needed resources and building functional, pro‑social relationships.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well‑being of those receiving services.
- Implement specific interventions according to the person’s treatment or service plan.
- Monitor and document the person’s progress.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- One (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting is preferred.
- Must be able to obtain provided CPR certification.
- Must be able to pass provided CPI training.
- Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co‑occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families, as required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work other behavioral health programs as needed.
- Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state where you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.
Base pay ranges from $15.00 – $16.12 an hour based on experience. Shift differential pay ($2.00 – $4.00) and supplemental pay (up to 8% of base pay) are applicable to certain programs at Lakeview Center, Inc.
