OverviewThe Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial health and stability of the organization by managing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role ensures the accuracy of financial records, implements robust internal controls, and provides strategic insights to support organizational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities Financial Management- Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare, analyze, and present accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
- Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate audits and provide documentation to external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and other financial laws.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision‑making.
- Identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities to enhance profitability.
- Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting and finance team, ensuring professional development and high performance.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement accounting software or tools needed to support company growth.
Skills And Abilities
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software (e.g., Quick Books, ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience, including leadership roles.
