DISPATCHER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME) – TouchPoint Support Services

Schedule:
Full time and part time, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pmâtre (days may vary; details provided in interview)
Fixed Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Prior customer service, healthcare, or dispatching experience is preferred.
Job SummaryCoordinates and monitors Patient Transportation services activities through timely, accurate dispatch and management of customer transportation requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provides quality customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff by delivering one‑on‑one attention to detail.
- Applies knowledge of basic patient transport concepts, infection control practices, and proper body mechanics.
- Determines, explains, and develops dispatcher logic and transporter activities; transports patients when necessary.
- Directs the activity of transporters, ensuring timely completion of tasks; monitors procedures related to availability and completion of tasks and follows up on service and operation issues.
- Ensures requests are addressed efficiently and in accordance with current departmental standards, priorities, and patient appointments.
- Serves as a liaison between Patient Transportation and other departments.
- Assigns, collects, and distributes pagers; monitors daily sign‑in/out procedures.
- Builds and promotes positive customer‑service relationships with patients, family members, visitors, and staff; ensures accurate, timely dispatch of transport requests; maximizes staff productivity.
- Resolves problems related to patient, visitor, staff, or employee complaints; recommends solutions for ongoing or recurring issues.
