Position:
Employment Security Representative I ( ) – Pensacola, FL. Full‑time Career Service position with a salary of $38,371.80. Posting closes March 3, 2026.
- Meet customer satisfaction and placement goals using Employ Florida (EF), job boards, and community resources.
- Prioritize work demands with a focus on customer satisfaction by ensuring quality job referrals based on employer‑defined skill sets and requirements.
- Document all services provided in the State database, alert job seekers to customer satisfaction surveys, and inform them of all Career Source Escarosa services.
- Receive immediate supervision from J & B Administrator and work as directed to achieve Resource Specialist and customer satisfaction goals.
- Manage job seeker expectations and explain the “Customer Satisfaction” philosophy by having customers complete a Career Source Escarosa survey.
- Coordinate the provision of labor exchange services to eligible persons including intake and assessment, counseling, testing, job search assistance, referral and placement.
- Assess the needs of customers to determine eligibility and refer to programs such as HOPE FL, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Welfare Transition Program, Ticket to Work, WIOA, Veteran Services, or other available resources.
- Ensure full compliance with state, federal or local policy, entering staff‑assisted services codes and documentation recorded in EF in full compliance with Florida Commerce & Career Source Florida guidelines.
- Identify and recommend actions and services needed to maintain compliance with regulations, directives and procedures.
- Conduct self‑evaluation and participate in shared evaluations for professional development.
- Assist in the acquisition of prosthetic and sensory aids and services needed to enhance the employability of eligible persons.
- Ensure customers use computers and equipment for their intended purpose and redirect them if they use resources inappropriately.
- Assist customers in completing profiles, building or uploading resumes in Employ Florida, adding relevant work history, education, etc. to match them to existing job orders.
- Administer tests/assessments such as typing tests, skills assessments, TABE and others as required or requested by employers.
- Review resumes, make suggestions, assist with edits, and refer customers for workshops, classes, or career counseling.
- Reach out to new Employ Florida registrants and encourage them to use all Career Source Escarosa resources.
- Handle customer concerns and difficult customers professionally.
- Maintain a neat and orderly professional work area.
- Participate in teamwork, provide backup coverage during peak periods, and monitor program functions through peer reviews.
- Work throughout Career Source Escarosa’s One‑Stops as needed or scheduled.
- Maintain strict confidentiality rules.
- Incumbents are required to travel locally and must provide own transportation.
- Respond to and resolve customer complaints.
- Follow the Standard Operating Procedure for Customer Complaint Resolution System.
- Update and maintain the State Complaint Log.
- Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. - Experience:
At least 2 years in counseling, human services, human resources, customer service, computer support, or a related area. - Ability to provide outstanding, positive, and professional customer service.
- High proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and email applications.
- Keyboarding/typing skills of 40 words per minute (test will be administered).
- Proficiency in internet applications and ability to navigate employment‑related websites; experience with the EFM website is a plus.
- Ability to learn new technologies as they are introduced.
- Interpersonal skills, energetic personality, positive attitude, and a high level of commitment to helping and serving people.
