The Contract Analyst I position is responsible for administration of the contracts process impacting daily operations within Baptist Health Care (BHC), according to established contract management and related policy and procedure. This position serves as a liaison between BHC department leaders and internal and external contracting groups as a resource for coordinating and facilitating contract review. This position will assist with administration, review, and negotiation related to BHC's primary supply, service, and capital contracts.
This position ensures contractual pricing is documented within the data tools that help manage pricing. The systems include the contract management application, the materials management information system, the GPO designated contracting catalogue, the GPO designated strategic information data warehouse, and price various pricing comparison tools.
- Administration, review and negotiation of contracts relating to BHC’s primary supply, services, and capital.
- Reviews lower complexity contracts, quotes, and various terms and conditions related to BHC purchases of services and products.
- Works closely with operational reviewers to ensure that contracts are in adherence to established BHC policies and are in the best interest of business operations. Provides tracking reports. Ensures that the contract tracking database is an accurate reflection of contract status. Coordinates and communicates contract changes to business analyst so that contracts within Lawson reflect accurate pricing and begin / end dates.
- Responsible for the creation and dissemination of the annual Vendor Evaluation Forms (VEF) review process to assure compliance with applicable DNV standards.
- Assists the GRC legal department with the preparation and drafting of templated physician contracts, as requested.
- Coordinates with In House Counsel (Contracts) on the procurement of new and/or renewed software, as requested, for the administrative aspects of the contracts department, to include software to track, review, inventory, and store contracts.
- Facilitates and/or maintains contracted price, terms and conditions, and expiration dates in various internal and external databases / systems.
- Maintains files and security of highly confidential information and maintains tickler file.
- Manages a network of matrixed relationships with customers, suppliers and leadership to ensure successful implementation and management of BHC’s contracts.

- Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Business, Finance, Legal, Paralegal Studies, Other related field Required
- 0-1 year experience in purchasing, contracting, or clinical operations responsibilities Preferred
