Operations Manager – Folcroft, PA

We are a construction supply and delivery company seeking a delivery driver to deliver building materials to job sites. As a delivery driver, you will ensure the safety of each delivery from the moment you leave the facility until you have completed each job. We offer a positive work environment that gets our drivers home every day (no overnights). Positions are available in both our Folcroft, PA, and Dover, DE, locations.

• Commercial Driving: 1 year (preferred)
• Driving: 3 years (preferred)
• CDL B (preferred)

• Transport and deliver freight over the road in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
• Secure freight; tarp and un-tarp freight if operating flatbeds.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under state and federal laws and regulations.
• Ensure that all operations are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe manner, being aware of not causing damage to driveways, buildings, or other areas of job sites.
• Follow route directions and unload material where assigned.
• Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects/repairs to Company personnel.
• Perform lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying freight.
• Work with customers in determining where to set the materials, and physically unload the materials.
• Represent the Company in a professional manner in all interactions with customers and company personnel.
• Consistently work in a safe, non-violent and courteous manner.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.
• Must have at least a CDL Class B license.
• Knowledge of all applicable DOT Regulations and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Meet all standards (medical, safety, etc.) required by the DOT and pass required pre-employment and random drug/alcohol test.
• Acceptable background investigation results.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.

• Able to squat, crouch and reach as needed to handle freight; able to enter and exit the vehicle’s cab numerous times each day.
• Able to lift and carry freight weighing up to 80 pounds on a daily basis.
• Able to handle, install and remove freight and/or special equipment weighing up to 80 pounds including chains, straps, tarps, tiedowns, etc.
• Able to pass a drug test (randomly, and upon hire).
• Must be able to work in severe weather conditions—both heat and cold.
• Boom truck experience is not required, but is a plus.
• May include occasional travel to multiple Edgemont Stone & Supply Co. location(s) (e.g. Folcroft, PA; Dover, DE) for training, delivery, or other purposes.
