Overview
Quanex is looking for a Box Truck Driver-1st Shift to join our team located in Greenville, Pennsylvania
.
In this role you are responsible for transporting material between Plant Locations, Middlefield, OH, Orwell, OH and Greenville, PA.
Responsibilities- Transport materials between specified plant locations in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the box truck and report any issues.
- Locate delivery points and coordinate with customers on delivery locations.
- Assist in unloading as needed and ensure loads are secured (e.g., tarps when required).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, machinery, and tools.
- Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines, and notify the supervisor of any safety concerns.
- Adjust to changing production demands to meet goals.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

- Receives direction from the supervisor and notifies when more work is needed.
- Maintains the work area, machinery, and tools in neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Follows safety procedures and notifies the supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues.
- Demonstrates the ability to adapt to changing demands to meet production goals.
- Exhibits strong attention to detail and a track record of driving safely.
- Ensures loads are properly protected (e.g., tarps) when required.
- Performs pre-flight and post-flight inspections of the box truck daily.
- Communicates delivery points and coordinates with customers regarding deliveries.
- Supports unloading as needed.
- Maintains a personable demeanor with a focus on excellent customer service.
- High School education or equivalent.
- 18 months related experience preferred.
- Class A Driver's License
- Clean MVR
