Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of products.
• Monitor, direct and evaluate performance of Loading and Delivery personnel.
• Determine work procedures and prepare work schedules to expedite workflow.
• Determine shipping priority, work assignments and the appropriate shipping method to meet delivery commitments.
• Negotiate freight rates and arrange transportation that optimizes service and cost.
• Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with all packaging and safety specifications.
• Investigate and solve customer problems and issues.
• Monitor and maintain all CDL or Intra State driver logs to ensure compliance.
• Remain current on all CDL Driver qualification requirements, regulations and rules.
• Oversee all delivery vehicle maintenance schedules.

• Proven Customer Service Skills
• Ability towork under limited supervision
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Officeand data entry
• Works well in a team environment, with a diverse workforce
• Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
• Ability to use and operate general office equipment

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2years of job related experience and/or training required.
