Job Description

Assist Services is seeking a Mechanic to support our vehicle fleet and containment division, based out of our Eighty‑Four, PA office. This position will provide routine maintenance as well as repairs on vehicles, heavy equipment, and other areas.

• At least 2 years of experience in vehicle/diesel maintenance and repair.
• At least 2 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
• Class A CDL highly valued.

• Preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment to increase safety within our fleet.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.
• Keep a log of all repairs and work performed.
• Assist with repairs out in the field safely and efficiently.
• Carry up to 75 lbs.
• Work closely with the Fleet Manager and Coordinator to schedule repairs and coordinate retrieving vehicles from the field.
• Respond to incidents in the field as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned by management.

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• All candidates must be able to pass a standard criminal background check, MVR, work verification check, a standard 10‑panel drug screen, and a fit‑for‑duty physical.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, diagnostic software, and other vehicle systems.
• Proficient in welding (MIG/TIG/GAS/PLASMA) and able to perform basic fabrication functions.
• Successful in managing numerous tasks during the course of the shift.
• Able to work productively in an ever‑changing work environment.
