Hiring OpportunityNow hiring Bus Monitor/Aide in Brodheadsville, PA. The Monitor/Aide is a key part of our commitment to safety and customer service, providing operational oversight, day‑to‑day management, and assisting drivers with safe route operation.
Responsibilities- Know the route and remain alert to monitor passengers while on the route
- Communicate behavior problems and conditions of stops to the driver
- Assist in pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the bus
- Assist students in loading and unloading
- Cooperate and communicate with school personnel, students, and parents
- Attend all safety and training meetings
- Conduct emergency evacuations, including use of emergency doors
- Open and close service doors and move up and down steps multiple times daily
- Clean the inside of the bus
- Assist the driver when necessary to safely direct the vehicle backwards
- Good verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
