Midland Asphalt Materials Inc., a subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, is actively recruiting Asphalt Distributor Operators for our Pennsylvania operations out of our Clearfield, PA facility. This is a seasonal position with candidates expected to start in April/May 2026.

• Operate an asphalt distributor and apply specialized emulsions to roads
• Coordinate with the Foreman for application rate and special instructions
• Understand the different emulsions and how to use each one safely and effectively
• Keep track of time and quantities of each project and communicate that to the dispatch office
• Perform related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, adding or removing extensions, and changing spray nozzles

• Must have a valid Class B CDL with Airbrakes and Tanker Endorsements and a good driving record
• Class A CDL, Hazmat Endorsement preferred
• Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Regularly required to climb in and out of vehicles and/or equipment
• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Regularly required to stand and walk across uneven terrain
• Frequent exposure to loud noise
• Regular exposure to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles; exposure to high temperatures
• Regular exposure to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
• Required to work varying hours, including nights, weekends, and overnight travel with overnight stays
